New player wondering about Hellgate multiplayer

I am considering playing Hellgate London and have heard that the servers are down. I was wondering whether there was any possible way to play the game multiplayer or LAN, either through some existing server or a direct connection or by some other means.|||Welcome to the forums Deval.

At the moment there is no way to play multiplayer. For now it's a single player game. Hopefully at some point in the future, someone will do something about that.|||This is probably moot... but if Hellgate comes back to North America, will we have the option of transfering our characters in Single Player mode to multiplayer mode? TY.|||No, good way for hacks, dupes, etc. Both will be separate if it ever comes back.
