is there a pattern to monster spawns in zones?

What I mean is, do certain zones have a propensity to spawn a greater density of monsters, and especially a greater density of rare/legendary monsters?

I'm mostly hunting for a zone to lvl up and farm in.

Ideally, the zone would be underground, so there wouldn't be as many annoying flying things. But most importantly, the zone has to be densely populated and have a good number of blue/orange monsters.

Any ideas?|||The rare spawns are rare and randomly take the place of other spawns, so I don't think there's any way to influence that, other than (possibly) stacking Luck.

If you want a place to farm I think your best bet would be to start at the furthest level you can reach and work your way backwards until you find somewhere suitable. The random level generator means you're not going to get the exact same spawns but you ought to be able to find a place that at least usually meets most of your criteria.

Picking a place that usually has a boss at the end can be a good idea too. Bosses don't drop as well on subsequent kills but they do at least drop some items that are better than whites. If nothing else you can sell them or break them down for rare components. |||I found the train tunnel that the exodus quest was part of to be good place for that.|||For a lot of (easy) monsters I always go to Monument Tunnels and the one after that. Loads of zombies in small chambers.|||farming shulgoth in nightmare is the best.|||Quote:

Farm the guy that pops out of the giant boil instead... It's faster and a higher level.|||But his eyes huuuuuurrttt |||Quote:
