Confused about the Ending...

Im pretty confused about the ending, Murmur shows up and blabs a bunch of stuff.

Anybody got any insight into what exactly the ending of the game means?|||Murmur is the one who was really behind everything. Giving the storyline a place to go after we've "finished" the game. Either for an expansion or a content update, or a sequel if someone will give them the money for one after HG1...|||Standard gaming itn't, the one who helps you in the first place screws you over in the end.|||Can't say I was confused. Murmur wanted a promotion but had to make sure there was a 'job opening' first. So he used the player character to create one.|||Murmur is a lower ranking demon that synodai, so he helped the players find the truths to gain enough power to kill synodai. Murmur didnt kill synodai himself because there is some super demon "the First" who would've killed Murmur for insubordination. So he used us to get rid of synodai and thus give him control over the demon armies on Earth.|||soo he kinda a manipulated you to kill the eldar. thats kinda a evil xD|||Yeah, i thought that was kinda the idea, but i also thought if thats the case, then its pretty cliche, lame and unoriginal... and that seems to be the case.|||meh, at least the cinematic was kinda cool

Although I was really really hoping that they'd make the cinematic right before you fight syd longer That thing looked cool as hell but only lasted like 5 seconds|||The ending made me rethink all of the "Tyreal is evil" garbage and eye Deckard Cain suspiciously, how DID he survive the Tristram incident, anyhow?|||Quite simple. He survived on a diet of cage and manipulating poor adventurers.

I see you fell for it too ;)

Actually, thinking about it, I bet Deckard IS Murmur, or something akin. It'd make sense that the demonic hordes are one and the same.
