Item's properties

Just wondering what does the "increase 20% damage" property do?

Additional damage to the item when use? Or its already add to the damage of the item?|||Quote:

When I put a "Blessed battery" in one of my triton sniper rifle its damage increased directly, unlike those ones that adds a specific element of damage (Adds 10% phase damage, for instance)

So for example, when your sniper does 100-150 damage, when you put a blessed battery mod with increase 20% damage the damage output will increase to 120 to 180 damage.

I am not an expert on this, but it happens when I insert such mods on weapons.|||Hmm... in that sense if the item already has a property of increase 20% damage in it, it already has the damage increased.

I'm confuse of what all the properties meant.|||Quote:

Join the rest of the HGL community. There's still a fair bit of uncertainty about how various properties are implemented. It's obvious in general what they do, but the specifics for some properties still elude us.|||Right... I thought i'm the one with all the questions. This is bad. I wonder does the new DB has any thing for this.|||Yes the Divine and Sacred mods are straight increases. I have no idea why this is better than other types of increases though... Although these mods seem to require less will power (?) which makes them highly desirable... They also have higher cap ranges, compared to +specific type of dmg mods.

The good thing with +dmg is that you can get two dmg mods on a weapon.

For example, I can spawn a sword with +22% dmg, and say... +20% physical dmg. In this case, these mods will stack, and the sword will have +42% total dmg, which makes it godly.|||Quote:

I bet you have played Diablo 2 before =]|||42 is not godly in D2. Seriously, there are a lot of swords with 400ED or more, technically. Like grief, jesus christ that thing is insane.|||Quote:

We are talking about HGL, not Diablo 2.
