HGL Install options

[:1]Hey guys, I recall when I first installed HGL that it didn't give me a choice of where it was going to install. Well, now I need to move the game. Am I remembering correctly? Does HGL install only to C? If not then I will uninstall and move it to another drive. If so, I'll consider my other options.

Thanks|||Mine's installed to D, so I think it ought to let you, but I can't recall as I don't think I've uninstalled since the beta.

Have you tried simply moving all the files to the new location and trying to run it? If it doesn't work you can always move them back. |||From what i remember, you can install on any drive you want. If you want help on moving the files from one drive to antoher I think I saved a post explaining that from armoredcore.

I'm pretty sure it lets you choose though.|||Instead of making a new thread I'll post this here, it's kinda similar. I've just started playing HG:L after not playing probably 7 or 8 months. I installed it and played a bit and everything was fine. Then I realised I may want to patch so I went searching for patches.

I downloaded and installed the 0.6 patch, went to launch the game but I get an error which is something to the effect of: "corrupted files, reinstall" What's the deal? I thought 0.6 patch was the first patch for HG:L? I just want to patch up to v1.2.

Thanks!|||What I did when installing patches, I would install 0.6, then 1.0 and finally 1.2. I never got any corrupted files while launching HGL, but I would suggest you try 2 things.

First, install all the SP patched and then run the game from the DX9 (or DX10) executable file, do not use the launcher shortcut.

Second, if you still get errors after installing all the patches you will probably have to reinstall the game. If you get errors while installing the patched it might be that the patch is corrupted (happened to me plenty of times), so you'll have to redownload the patches.

I have it patched up to 1.2 and am now playing Although, I realized after reading your post that I skipped patch 1.0, i only installed 0.6 then installed 1.2, foresee any problems?|||not really. I think you can patch fom dvd to 1.2 without any hiccups, but me being paranoid does all the installs. Though if I'd have to reinstall, then I would just try 1.2 from the start.
