Well of course its rather complicated, Namco owns the rights here and seems determined not to do anything with them. So though Korea will be up soon(if not already) and get updates and new content, but we get nothing. Untill Namco says something dont get your hopes up, we may be done with Hellgate stateside

I didn't think the Korean server ever went down, did it? Hmm.
But yes, there was people saying it'll be only down for a day or two at most, or that it'll be back really soon prior to the shutdown. And they wouldn't listen to anyone who said otherwise.
Can't see anyone bothering at this point. They might put out a new version and try to get people to sign up for the relaunch in a year's time or something. But the game as we know it is essentially dead, as far as I can see.
Singleplayer's still good for giggles though.

It would be in Namco's best interest to work out some sort of deal with Hanbitsoft in order to get the game going here... even it was only single player, people would buy it.
Instead they sit on the distribution rights while Hanbitsoft sits on the IP. Makes me want to go into the board rooms and smack some heads.
