Can people give recommendations for the games they're gonna move onto in January? I'm really looking forward to Borderlands but that's not coming out for a while. Can people tell me things I should look at that have a Hellgate type feel?|||Hmmm, well...most of the people in my guild are getting sacred 2. Another popular game is Fallout 3. A few are playing Dead Space, others will get Left 4 Dead and that's pretty much it.
I think the closest to a HGL is FO3....|||Nice suggestions Shay. We looked at Sacred 2 as well, and it looks like a beautiful game, but some of our folks had problems with the viewpoint (it's gonna be hard to beat the whole 1st/3rd person thing HGL provides).
We also went back and reviewed some of the newer versions of the older games, like everquest, GW, etc, but again, pretty much came to the conclusion that there isn't really a 'hellgate replacement', for us anyway, and made the decision to just keep playing until the end of Jan and see what happens then.
Personally, I have been waiting years to get my hands on Stargate Worlds, and am really liking what I'm seeing so far (youtube search the "Ha'Tak explosion"...

We did jump on the HGL servers last night to reminisce and have a bit of an online 'going away' party.
But, we'll be spending most of our time in our L4D server now.|||Yeah, L4D is a lot of fun. Got into it on release, then I had to come back to HGL. Now that the game is done, guess I might go ahead and finish some ps3 games and orange box on pc..haha|||Ill probably be on Sacred 2 and Dead space .|||F.E.A.R. 2
End War
WoW <--- maybe
L4D|||Lots of great games out to play
sacred 2
fallout 3
TF2
cod4
stalker
dragon age
fear2
Grand Theft Auto IV
& lots of older games|||A few games I am looking forward to:
Hazen (Q1 2009)
Dungeon Hero (Q2 2009)
Mount & Blade Expansion (Q2/Q3 2009 - adds multiplayer)
Drakensang (2/14/2009)
Demigod (4/14/2009)
Orb and the Oracle (6/30/2009)
Fallen Earth (Q2 2009 but probably wont hit date)
Borderland (Q3 2009)
Most of these aren't exactly like HG:L or your typical H&S game, but they look interesting and have some of the same aspects.
