what happened to hellgate wiki links?

[:1]I worked so hard to reconnect all the wiki pages together so that they work together, and its easier to find the technical data that people came here to find. Like being able to compare weapons, get quest help, find and locat rare drops. I revamped the category bottom part of over 2000 pages making more effective page to page connections. Then I Get a virus and put my computer in the shop for a week and a half, I come back and I can no longer log in to my account on the wiki site, and I cant click on the side bar icons, they keep saying broken pages, the color scheme is way different. I can ignore color and go colour blind, but if the webpage doesnt work, thats a serious techical user interface problem!!! Im glad the main page still works, but I'm still having problems shifting over from the forum section where hardcore members talk to each other, and the info site where newbies come to get help, information and general knowledge. Its the good quality of the hellgate wiki pedia page that lead me here to help out in the first place, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thinks this is the current best, most imformative hellgate info site thats still currently active and publicly accessable. I can complain but that would waste time. Its more important to find the originating problem and find a working solution to the new interface problem. Does anyone know how to fix it?|||We'll look into the items you raise.

OK this is what we have had to do : ) As part of the change over, we have unlinked the wiki from your forum account. All you need to do is register a new account on the wiki fopr the wiki and you are set. Use the same useraname you had before and your articles will link to your name.

The reason for the change is that the forum login bridge we were using was no longer supported so when we upgrade the forums the bridge will break. So now we have removed the bridge and unhooked the two.

I did change the site information on the wiki to say that but older users would not know that so apologies if it has caught you off guard. Any problems do just drop me a PM.|||How will the site be set up in the future, are you guys going to try to re-link it under a different alternate support system? Are the 2 ever going to be linked up again, re attachd or is this permanent?|||Based on our experience, it is too risky to link them up for now because the forum software is currently in the process of getting a major upgrade by the developers so until a perm solution is found they will remain unlinked.|||Rush, I've got a site running vB 3.8.4 and Mediawiki and this bridge works just fine on it.|||you know we could always just Wiki link them like they are linked now. Currently its a little hyper link at the bottom of the page but we could theoretically put that code on important pages to go to the forums, like tables and index pages where hi traffic flow through.
