I play singleplayer exclusively because I don't plan to lose my characters when FSS pulls the plug on the servers.|||I'm hoping they'll let us export our characters, should that happen.

But it's a little soon to worry about that, in my opinion. Shutdown is probably at least 3 months away, since that's about when the next patch is due. Meantime you're missing out on various cool things they've not gotten around to patching into the SP game yet.

I only play online, when I bother playing at the moment. Which isn't a whole heck of a lot.|||Eh? Why would FSS pull the plug? The game hasn't been a flop by any means. Just because it's not WOW doesn't mean it didn't topped the charts in loads of places.

Did it top the charts anywhere? And if so, did it last more than one chart? ;)

The reason people are worried is because it hasn't really taken off in a big way and FSS only have this game for income - they're not backed by deep pockets like SOE or PlayNC games are.

No way to know if they're making money or how long the Founder's Subs will convince them to keep going. I hope it's still around for at least the rest of this year and continuing to be developed during that time too. But if it's losing money, at some point they're going to cut it loose... or go down with the ship, I suppose. ;)|||@amarra SP was defintely the best way to play the game in the first week or so! I'm still tempted to go back to my SP Blademaster and see how he would play out.

@Mythor It was number one AND number two in the US PC charts when it launched. (Regular version and Collector's edition respectively). In the UK, it was #2 (to the all powerful Football Manager). It stuck around for a while, too: it re-entered the charts in January.

Also, they've got another game out soon. Mythor will know what it's called. :D|||I play exclusively SP right now. Tried MP and it kicked me out four times while trying to load Charing Cross Station. I got sick of running that same part of the game over and over to no avail, so I just stopped.|||Quote:

Erm, no I won't know what it's called! As far as I know they've not announced any new games and they certainly wouldn't be close to release if they're only just announced!

Unless you mean Mythos, which isn't going to be "out soon", unless "soon" is 6+ months for you. ;)
