Nanoshards

Has anyone figured out how Nanoshards are garnered? They simply show up in the inventory. Sometimes after a foray I'll have an additional 2, then 3 perhaps, or 1, and lately it's been zero.

Does FSS want to put a limit on Nanoforge use, and if so, why?

I thought at first that Nanoshards might be based on the char leveling up, or a quest being completed, but neither seems to be the case.

Any thoughts, or better yet, concrete answers?|||u have to dismantle (disassembly) rare, legendary or unique items to get nanoshards.|||You can also occasionally find them as loot, though they're fairly rare from what I've seen.

I've no idea why they were introduced, I don't nanoforge stuff so I didn't bother finding out. ;)|||they were introduced because nanoforging was used a lot. Also, it makes you dismantle items for a good reason.. i've got lots of 5000 material types, mainly templar ones. At least..

Well Mythor, if u dont use nanoshards, perhaps i could buy yours? since i really make use of it :D , u can PM me so we dont go off-topic here|||Quote:

You can't anyway since a) I don't play on Sydonai and 2) I only have about 4 on the "real" servers and iii) I don't need the money! :D|||You don't have to break down rare or better items to get shards, Normal and enhanced also have them, but the liklihood of a shard is not too good. I sell rare/legendary/unique stuff, and only break down normal and enhanced, and get enough that way (although it can take a while sometimes).|||Thanx for the replies. Now I have a better understanding of Nanoshards.
