I just hit waterloo in my first char and now i really have trouble with stability.
I have an old PC but still 2 GHz Processor, 2 GB ram, 256 mb graphics card.
Still though when i hit a big group of monsters it gets really slow and sometimes freezes my whole system up. That is annoying since i like playing this game. I am now running the game at the lowest settings possible and it still is slow.
Does anybody have an idea how to improve this, or do i finally need to buy new hardware ( would be the first time in 6 years ).
Please tell me there is something easy/cheap i can do to improve performance.
Cheers|||What are the full specs of your hardware? Such as what kind of 2GHz processor, and what speed ram. What is the brand and name of your graphics card? 6 years is stretching it a bit in terms of hardware.|||Actually, I have the same problem with a similar PC, with 2 GHz (Celeron) Processor, 2 GB ram, 256 mb graphics card (Nvidia 6800 Go). The screen just locks up. I think it might be the age of it. It only happens occasionally, so I just live with it.|||I got ATitools just yesterday and been overclocking my Graphics card a bit. Seems to be running smother now, still i lag after a charge with my Blademaster. I am fairly happy with the performance at this point but i still think i need to upgrade my ram a bit. It was 1 GB and not 2 as i said, sorry for that one.
I'll be putting in a noother 512 soon and hopefully it will be even better than. For now i am happy since it is playable and i really enjoy the game
I fully agree with the "6 years might be stretching it a bit" part. No money for a new Motherboard/chipset/Graphics card though.
Maybe i'll win the lottery someday :P
Edit: I am using a ATI 9550, but it thinks it is a 9600pro now^^
