[:1]My wife and I are looking for a fun new game with exciting graphics, a great story, and an immersive world. Is Hellgate: London our new next game?
We're hoping to hear from you. On a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being a total bomb and ten being the greatest MMO of all time, please reply with a rating. If it's the best/worst game you've ever played and feel compelled to post why you feel that way, please share! We really want to hear from the people playing it to help us decide if it's worth it to purchase two copies and get started.
Thank you in advance for any feedback!|||There's a demo available from most good gaming websites. Download it, install it and get an idea for yourself of whether it's something that will interest you.
The graphics are decent, the story blows and I guess the world is somewhat immersive. Most people's main issue with it was the staggering number of bugs and poor performance when the game was released. Both have improved since then, of course.
I'd probably rate it a 6 or 7. It's fun for a while and it's fun to come back to every now and then, but I've resubscribed to WoW and have barely played Hellgate since.|||At release it was pretty buggy and missing to many key features to appeal to many, but most of the bugs are gone now and they added most of the stuff they should of started with. Is it a game most would play 12 hours a day? Probably not, but as a whole I think its a enjoyable game and worth the money. Ratings wise I would say it was a 4 at release and would give it a 8 now. If you were into Diablo 2 you will most likely be into it, otherwise try a demo first.|||Agree with Shadow. If you liked D2 you'll like this, I'm pretty sure. The demo is good as a taster but there is a lot more to the game than the demo provides (as you would expect).
The game now is a huge improvement than the disaster what came out at the end of October. Each new patch is adding new content and improvements.
If you enjoy the demo then get the game.
Personally, I'd give it an 8.|||It has become a great game (with patches and content added) definately an 8, as time go's on will be a 9.
Now it has me and my eldest as subscribers, long may it improve|||It's a 2-star game. Out of ten, I would give it a three.
Maybe in two years it won't be, but people are overly generous to be honest.|||I doubt it will be around in 2 years.|||I know they purged some bugs and added content. I didn't have much issues with bugs at all during the beta run so my main questions is: did the play experience itself change/improve? The areas used to be very linear and and the surroundings dull (imo ofcourse).
I am still keeping an eye on this game I was so crazy about before release but I will need something really convincing to give it another try.|||I'd give it a 7. It's also somewhat addictive, though I find myself almost exclusively attracted to just the Evoker and Summoner classes.
I think it'll still be online in two years... but there will be even fewer players by then, unless FFS pulls a successful re-release stunt.|||i bought it on release dat, then chucked it to remote corner of my room, hoping never to unearth it again. there were just too many problems that I couldn't deal with.
now that all patches are in, it seems more playable, and yes, quite fun too.
its a break from WoW and D2 anyway...
