Free players

i wish they could make the new place,stoneheng.. or whatever the name was to free players.. and another or at least twice as large area as that for subcribers.. cos one you reach max lvl for free players..there not much to do,, no raids... only syon- and slug|||Im guessing that is their idea. To get ppl to become subscribers.

Since being a subscriber should have some bonuses.

And paying for something that you enjoy isnt that wrong.|||Quote:

Maximum level for freeloaders and subscribers is exactly the same, at least so far.

As for "not much to do"? There's 6 classes and at least a couple of different build options for some of the classes and you can play any of them through the entire game that you paid for. Online with hundreds or thousands of other players and you can group with lots of people and so on and never have to pay another cent. Plus you get ongoing patches - for free - and some new features like the mail system - again, for free.

We didn't get anything near that level of support for Diablo 2 and yet people played it for years and years, even forking out money for an expansion pack...

And this is why I call people freeloaders. Why would they devote twice as many resources towards pleasing non-paying-customers as they do those people who have subscribed? Why would they even give you Stonehenge right now, when you can't even be bothered subscribing?

If you want the benefits of being a subscriber, then subscribe.|||What you pay is proportional to what you get, and this rule seldom changes.

As a non subscriber, I can live without the extra contents, and I won't ask too much for the game. You want the extra contents? Then subscribe. There is no free lunch in this world, mate.

The patches are quite obligatory in my opinion - we pay money for the game, and we expect it runs perfectly, which means, without bugs and hassles.

Agreed on the comment, but I really have no idea why you keep saying non subscriber as freeloaders, where we have paid 30 quids for the game.|||well i would subcribe if i could,, long time ago... and i'm not a freeloader, i payed for the damn game..|||Quote:

And you got "the damn game". "The damn game" does not include Stonehenge. You've already got what you paid for.

Asking for subscriber features for free = freeloader.

And agreed on the patches being needed, Eve. The current state of the game isn't even what I would deem "release quality", so expecting patches is definitely not out of line.

But let's face it, not all companies even bother with that. So it's certainly worth noting that even nonsubscribers and singleplayer people are getting those. |||Quote:

Seems fair enough to me, but I think you irked some people by referring to "all" free MP'ers as "freeloaders".

Where maximum level is the same whether or not person is asking to get subscriber features for free.|||I must admit, I never thought anything of being called a "freeloader". I don't subscribe, and I thought the name fitted quite well, in a sort of humorous way. |||Quote:
