Subscription

I looked at wiki for subscription, and it says new contents for single player will also be available to subscribers. Does that mean I can subscribe for one month, download the contents, and still be able to play new contents in single player even if subscription expires? I'm curious because I don't want to play hg online.|||I was curious about that too. So far, from what I have gathered, the new online content is not yet available for single player, but there might be plans to do this in the future. Rumor has it that the new content will also be released on a later basis to the non-subscribers every 6-9 months, as per expansion packs.|||The singleplayer version of the game lags behind the multiplayer version and doesn't get all the bonuses and perks available to multiplayer.

Will they patch the Stonehenge stuff to singleplayer? I wouldn't count on it any time soon. But SP will get the bug fixes and interface tweaks and probably things like new items. Just not the actual Stonehenge and surrounding areas.

Also your subscription status has absolutely no bearing on singleplayer. If you're a subscriber you don't even get the expanded stash in singleplayer. |||If they allowed the new content for single player, then people would hack it to give the stonehenge etc stuff to everyone, giving people even less of a reason to pay $ to FSS. A lot of people are already complaining about it as it is - no point making it worse.|||How about mods? Do you think they are feasible and legal? AFAIK there's no official editor for that, but even d2 had mods.|||They're legal to make, distribution might be another matter, but there's no official support for them and no editors yet, as far as I know.

D2 "needed" mods more than HGL does yet though. HGL is still being developed, D2 received minimal post-release development, it was primarily patches with some bits and pieces over a very long period of time.
