Greetings fellow gaters...
I guess the majority of people are aware but I want to stress the importance of stamina for MM's. (and probably for all character types, but I've only played MM to high level) Especially for new people who may not know and may end up ruining a character!
I've read some guides where people say Accuracy should be the main stat for a marksman... this simply isn't true... my advice is...
PUT ALL YOU POINTS IN STAMINA!!!!!
Yes, I said it!
It's such a huge bonus on multiple levels...
1.) the most obvious... you'll have a load of hit points. Marksmen generally don't get to stack too much armour so having high hit points is nice, especially in elite.
2.) You'll get to equip the best gear... lets agree now that the best gear is +AA (all attributes) gear. This needs huge stamina to equip. I've seen 1 piece cost 50+ stamina to equip... nasty. If you find a +10 AA belt, that costs 30 stamina to equip... you've just convereted that 30 stamina into 40 attribute points (10 accuracy, 10 strenght, 10 stamina, 10 willpower)
Now you see where I'm going with this...
Don't worry about your other attributes, gear will look after them...
My elite MM Avon has the following stats, He's level 43, with 1927 hit points...
Accuracy 180 (using 105)
Strenght 113 (using 61)
Stamina 293 (using 251)
Willpower 130 (using 103)
Not bad, eh? I've never been unable to equip an item... I usually have more hit points then the guardians I group with!!
Ok, so theres a catch... it's going to be a bit painful at low levels until you start finding +AA gear! You can live with that, right?
Discuss!|||Diablo II anyone? Only put points into attributes enough for gear and everything goes to stamina.
I'm building a guardian right now that I mean to have tons of stamina...he's only level 17 currently though so I'm still needing to put in willpower and some others just to keep myself wearing decent equipment.|||i'm making a marksman..probalby elite..so should i add stamina ? a lot`+|||Depends... if your a subscriber you don't have to worry about it. Moloch will soon drop attribute respec tokens. If not, I'd say put 3 out of 5 in stamina at least (coz you'll need willpower too). Really depends on your gear, and what other stats it boosts!|||i made a guardian... but they always take a lot of stamina so i dont have to worry about that|||Depends on the class. I find Stamina builds to be useful but you end up relying far too much on AA gear (this is why people think it's the best gear, it's the only gear they can actually use with their current setup), meaning other gear bonuses are getting neglected. Alot of health is nice, but unless you can carry a shield you're going to be a healthy bucket of squishy. Alot of health and minimal DR is all flash and no substance.
My current Elite Summoner runs 2 Stamina/3 Willpower on level up with quest points into Strength for DR, and she basically never dies, even if my Minions get punked by a Tormentor. She uses some AA gear but isn't overly reliant on it, really the biggest function it serves is to give me enough accuracy to use her weps.
Coming from being an AA hog it's nice to find an item with nice stats and not having to scrap it because of that lack of AA.|||I'm very curious to see a 'never dies' Summoner |||Quote:

"Moloch will soon drop attribute respec tokens" the best news I heared the other day Im a noob MM (elite) in my 40's I sorta lack life and I figured Id probly have to re-roll :/ But NOPE
I thanks you both for the info|||With that lower chance to get that token I suggest you better re-roll
And don't forget that ONLY head-holders have that chance.
You will save much time spending to get that token so probably just make another char and you will save time.|||I'm finding very quickly (and almost too late) that my Guardian needs a lot of Stamina to equip new gear.
I was following someone's advice in another post (forgot who posted it) that you should allot 1 Strength, 2 Stamina, and 2 Willpower points per level up. If you're using the Spiritual Strength passive skill (who wouldn't) you don't need as many points allocated to Strength.
So now I'm at a point where I'm playing catch-up with Stamina points.
So, I agree, Stamina is vitally important, at least for a Guardian, which is the char I have the most experience with.
You'd also need a lot of Willpower, especially if you're trying to build a gun-toting Guardian, forsaking the natural sword abilities and skills.
I'm still trying to understand my build (I think the Guardian is super cool, by the way) but I'm nowhere near the point where I can give anyone definitive advice on allocating attribute points (or skill points for that matter).
